A Deep Mutual Embrace
Groups and Individual Sessions

Groups on the Calendar
Snakes have the ability to help heal a myriad of human health issues and are so Earth bound that they can assist enormously in our relationship to the planet. Snake massage is one of the most nurturing experiences I’ve ever had. It felt like a warm, comforting hug, where I felt adored and caressed as a team of 3 healers weaved in and out of each other to support my well being.

My point
All creatures are healers, whether insect medicine or horse trauma healing. We are in relationship with everything on this planet. So no matter what species you live with, you can cultivate a conscious partnership where you can embrace yourself while connecting to your beloveds for mutual well being. And yet it’s a deeper dive that brings endless curiosity as you move into embodied awareness in your relationships and life.

I offer two general practices.

A Sensory Dive with your Pet
This is a fun, warm and comforting practice as we engage all of our senses within the creative flow of Source. When in a group environment with other people and pets, benefits are ‘gathered’ from others where needed and connection through community grows. You might find yourself having fun alongside deeper emotions…. but ultimately you are honing a practice for a more deeply engaged and intuitive life simply through curiosity, discovery and play. Benefits are endless when you are connected in Source and your pets provide you with a beautiful means to authentic personal connection in your life. A few words about healthy boundaries….the most obvious is allowing your pet to come and go (rather than making them stay with you), but on a subtler level we develop awareness of our needs vs. theirs for healthy individuation. This is big. Most of us don’t realize how our pets take in our own needs and wants. By keeping an inner anchor we begin to embody mutual support grounded in each having individual agency.

Sensually Centered Grooming

Bringing sensory based embodiment into practical action, this is a great practice for so many reasons. It can be mutually nurturing even through challenges. The primary intention is to explore connection, rather than getting hair knots out. So, we explore possibilities within this connection and see what happens! Not only can it help shape the rest of your day (with a shift out of autopilot), but it can be your juicy practice in anything you do, including a new perspective (and life!) to mundane or undesirable tasks.

How I began connecting People and Pets
In the early 90s, with two friends I began rescuing and adopting cats. I always took care to find the right home situation and family for each. For years after, animals in need crossed my path regularly. Sometimes dogs and certainly alot of wildlife. There were many wonderful pairings against the odds… from a few Leukemia cases to many elderly cats (one 22 year old!), friendly street cats and a lovable orange tabby who peed indoors (menaced by an outdoor tom). There was also the Wyoming dog who moved to the city and was re-homed on a farm and given a new job in agility performance. I used spay and save coupons and set up the first adoption centers at both our local pet store and a national chain. And my rolodex was my networking technology! It was all very personal, organic and the most rewarding thing I’d ever done - truly a ‘labor of love’. So here I am today still in support of people and pets, but in a different arena that remains very personal, organic and more and more rewarding.
